Exhibition Structures: Petal Pavillion

This visually striking structure formed part of the prestigious London Festival of Architecture Week held from 20 June - 20 July 2008. It was designed as a portable pavillion capable of being transported and erected at 5 different venues around London.

The structure itself comprised 11 petal shaped panels each cut and sewn to fit onto complex metal frames. The petals, ranging in height from 2.7M to 4.3M, arched around a central stalk allowing visitors access to the central rotating stage through gaps between the petals. LED lighting complimented the appeal of a very attractive project.
